Wide Wings Media and Dreams 2 Reality Celebrate the 12th Year of Maunaantar Mime Play Competition

Pune, 4 July 2026: Wide Wings Media and Dreams 2 Reality (D2R) are delighted to celebrate the 12th year of Maunaantar, Maharashtra's unique mime act competition. This year's edition, Maunaantar 2026, will take place on Saturday, 11 July and Sunday, 12 July 2026, at Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Auditorium, Ghole Road, Pune, from 9:00 AM onwards.

Mime is a distinctive form of theatre that enables performers to communicate emotions, ideas and stories without the use of spoken words, relying solely on expressions, body language, and movement. Maunaantar is a celebration of this unique art form!

The performances in this year's competition will be judged by eminent personalities and experts from the theatre and film industry. A total of 20 teams from Pune, Ahilyanagar and other cities have registered to participate. The competition will feature well known colleges such as Garware College of Commerce, Fergusson College, Brihan Maharashtra College of Commerce, and Sir Parashurambhau College, along with theatre groups and amateur artists.

This year's competition offers cash prizes worth over ₹50,000 along with trophies (Karandak) for the winning teams.

Maunaantar 2026 is supported by Shankar Nalini Arankalle Cultural Trust Fund, Gargi by P. N. Gadgil & Sons, and Barva Skin Therapie.
