Wide Wings Media and Dreams 2 Reality Celebrate the 11thyear of ‘Maunaantar’ Mime Play Competition!

July 5, Pune – Wide Wings Media and Dreams 2 Reality (D2R) are organizing Maharashtra’s unique mime play competition – Maunaantar 2025, a celeberation of theatre, mime and silence on stage. This year marks the 11th year of the festival, which will be held on Saturday, July 12 and Sunday, July 13 at The Box, Erandwane, Pune, from 10:00 AM to 9:30 PM. Previous edition of the festival have been held at Bharat Natya Mandir in Sadashiv peth and The Box, Erandwane, Pune.

Mime is a distinctive theatrical art form where artists express their thoughts, emotions, and stories solely through gestures, expressions, and body movements — without uttering a single word!

Maunaantar 2025 will bring this art form to the stage, judged by renowned personalities from the world of theatre and cinema.

This year, Maunaantar 2025 brings even more excitement, with over ₹50,000 in cash prizes and prestigious trophies to be awarded. The competition is proudly supported by the Shankar Nalini Arankalle Charitable Trust Fund, Pune, Gargi by P. N. Gadgil & Sons and Barva Skin Therapie.

The competition is open to all — with no restrictions on age or team size. It is truly inclusive and encourages participation from a wide spectrum of performers.

A total of 20 teams from Pune, Mumbai, and Ahilyanagar are participating this year. These include entries from renowned institutions in Pune such as Fergusson College, S.P. College, Garware College, Sinhagad & MIT along with several well-known theatre groups.
