Theatre Preview: Gyaan Adab Cultural Centre celebrates the MAGIC of ONE!

It's exciting theatre times at Gyaan Adab Centre with GYAAN ADAB Children's theatre presenting:


The theatre program is a culmination of series of theatre workshops. These workshops identify, nurture and help express the personal ability and growth of children.

Practicing theatre at an early stage offers the children a unique opportunity to develop the communication skills, enrich their language abilities, develop personal , social expressiveness and achieve emotional fulfillment.


Theatre programs are mostly limited to the performance and production based goals. This program brings out the hidden talent in children irrespective of performance and theatre company's goals.Expert theatre mentors have offered the following to the kids:

  • Final showcasing of each performance training in story-telling and dramatic performance by mentors Specially created scripts for each participant to work with

  • Group discussion and opportunity for personal reflection and exchange


Script selection based on temperament and interest of the kid.

Performance texts span with the works of Francesca Simon’s Horrid Henry Stories, Antoine de Saint-Exupery’s The Little Prince, Edgar Allen Poe’s The Tell Tale Heart, T.S.Eliot’s Cats, Walter de la Mare’s timeless dramatic poem The Listeners, Binjamin Wilkomiriski Memories Of A Wartime Childhood (Remembering the concentration camps) and Randhir Khare’s The Last Jungle On Earth & The Legend of Creaky. Original scripts were created and written by the gifted Alakananda Chatterjee and Randhir Khare specially wrote performance pieces for many of the older participants.


The mentors were Nadia SenSharma, Neeti Pherwani, Anub George & Aman Modi.
