Pune Natyasattak is back kicking it's the first slot today. From senior theatre personalities to aspiring groups, the best of Pune theatre festival provides an amalgam of pieces for all age groups. The event is organized by Wide Wings Media in its third consecutive year. There will also be a long line of plays called Natyasattak Rajni welcoming the Republic Day (9 pm to 7:30 am.) A total of 29 performances with 27 groups will be held at Sudarshan Rangmanch, Jyotsana Bhole Sabagruha, Bharat Natya Mandir, Yashwantrao Chavan Natyagruha and Balgandharva Rangmandir. The two slots in which the festival will take place are Jan 12-14 and Jan 19-21. Some notable plays in the festival are Kajvyancha Gaon by senior theatre practitioner Pradeep Vaiddya, Bengal Tiger at Baghdad Zoo by Niranjan Pedanekar, Gajab Kahani by Asakata Kalamanch.
Award wining plays like Chi. Shri va Sakhare, Sealed, War & Peace by MIT and So What! by Theatron Entertainment will also be staged. Sorry Paranjape by BMCC will also be performed. Some plays for children are also present like Shyamchi Aai, Rangeet Goshta, Adimbachya Betawar. Swatantra Theatre will present "Jis Lahore dekhya nahi woh jamya nahi" and Natya Junction Theatre "Nawab ki Akal Gadhon Ki Shakal" two Hindi plays. The famous play "Bhumika" by Maharashtra Cultural Centre, Ata Kay Karaycha Rao by Blinking spot production and Phera by Taandav will also be performed. "Phantom" the musical play will be performed by Kollage creations. Another group from Aurangabad "Natyawada" will perform "Matric and Pazar." You also get to watch Venunaad , a solo by Ashwini Giri and Tuka Mhane by Arundhati Patwardhan. The festival is supported by Buldhana Urban and Jai Kajal.
