PERFORMANCES BEGIN OCTOBER 13, 2025
OPENING NIGHT OCTOBER 27, 2025
AT ST. LUKE’S THEATRE
REHEARSALS BEGIN SEPTEMBER 15!
(New York, NY - September 15, 2025)–The producers of Beau The Musical are pleased to share the complete cast and creative team for the production’s upcoming transfer to St. Luke’s Theatre (308 West 46th Street). Rehearsals begin today in New York City.
Beau The Musical is conceived and written by Douglas Lyons (Broadway: Chicken & Biscuits, Off-Broadway: Table 17, TV: “Fraggle Rock”), with music by Ethan D. Pakchar (Film: the Emmy-nominated short film, “Morning Joy”) and Douglas Lyons, and lyrics by Douglas Lyons. The production is directed and choreographed by Josh Rhodes (Broadway: Spamalot, Bright Star, Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella; Regional: Regency Girls).
Set in Nashville and Memphis, Tennessee, Beau The Musical features eight actor-musicians telling the story of Ace Baker, a young queer singer-songwriter whose life is forever changed when he discovers his deceased grandfather, Beau, is actually still alive. Family secrets unravel as Ace rushes to make up for lost time with a man who changed his life by putting a guitar in his hand.
In addition to the previously announced Matt Rodin (National Tour: Company; Off-Broadway: All The World’s a Stage) as Ace Baker and Tony Award nominee Jeb Brown (Dead Outlaw) as Beau, returning cast members include Amelia Cormack (Broadway: Hadestown) as Raven, Andrea Goss (Broadway: Indecent, Cabaret) as Le-Ann/Karina/Nurse, Miyuki Miyagi (Regional: The Mystery of Edwin Drood) as Daphney and Derek Stoltenberg as Dennis.
New to the cast are Ryan Halsaver (Off-Broadway: Kinky Boots) as Larry and Max Sangerman (Broadway: Dead Outlaw, A Beautiful Noise) as Ferris.
Standbys for the production include Luke Darnell (Off-Broadway: The Other Josh Cohen), Seth Eliser (Off-Broadway: The Jonathan Larson Project), Tyler Donovan McCall (Regional: Empire Records), Leanne Jeanne Thomas (Off-Broadway: Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish), and Rose Van Dyne(Broadway:1776). McCall serves as an official alternate for Ace Baker and will play the role at selected performances.
The full creative team includes Chris Gurr (Music Supervisor), Daniel Allen (Scenic Designer), Rodrigo Muñoz (Costume Designer), Japhy Weideman (Lighting Designer), Jordana Abrenica (Sound Designer), Sean Frank (Properties Designer and Set Dresser), Kimi Handa Brown (Intimacy Director), Michael Rossmy (Fight Director), Charlie Wheatley Meffe (Production Manager), Kyra Bowie (Production Stage Manager), Brant Sennett (Assistant Stage Manager), Jonathan Bach (Production Supervisor), Brian Strumwasser (Hair and Makeup Consultant), and Geoff Josselson Casting (Additional Casting).
The world premiere ofBeau The Musical was presented earlier this summer in Greenwich Village at Theatre 154, currently operated by Out of the Box Theatrics. After opening to rave reviews, the run was extended by popular demand. Last month, it was announced that Out of the Box Theatrics would relocate to a new permanent home at St. Luke’s Theatre on West 46th Street, which created an opportunity for Beau The Musical to have an extended life in the Midtown theatre district.
Beau The Musical was developed through readings at The Directors Company, The Musical Theatre Factory, Roundabout Theatre Company’s Oscar Hammerstein Festival at The Bucks County Playhouse, and Lincoln Center’s Broadway Songbook Series. Following a presentation at the 2019 Adirondack Theatre Festival, Sony Masterworks Broadway released the show’s world premiere recording.
Beau The Musical is produced by Bryan McCaffrey and Leah Michalos in association with The Storyline Project and Out Of The Box Theatrics.
