Natya Junction Theatre presents
EK AUR DRONACHARYA
The Story of Ek aur Dronacharya is so relevant in today's time as well. It's a thirty to fourth year old Drama but still connects you and leads you to the situation where you think how it all makes sense even today. It reflects corruption in politics, education systems and the same time it shows how a person has different shades as a character. His idealism and Values changes through Time and Situations. Whether it is in Mahabharata time or our contemporary time. In every era Dronacharya takes birth, but condition and situation always takes him down and in control.
This play runs parallel between Mythology and modern era.
It shows the conflicts of professor who is shown as a Dronacharya of Modern World. Dronacharya was a Master of Archery and scripture, pressured by his wife's greed and sense of insecurity, generated by hunger and poverty. Result.. He had to accept service as a Teacher of Kaurava and Pandva's Princes. In one course of time, this subordination becomes way of life.
In a same way... In Modern World, there is college professor called Arvind. He is a Man of idealism and Principles. He wants to restore Honesty, Discipline and sense of character building in Academic life, which has been taken over by corruption and his wife's greed, and finally he becomes victim of Power and Politics.
